Install instructions
- Download the .zip file above.
- Right-click the file and select "Extract All..." (Important: Do not try to launch the game without extracting! It needs the other files in the folder to run.)
- Open the new folder and double-click drowsy-chat-demo.exe.

I am unable to run the game. I downloaded it, extracted all files and in the new folder clicked the .exe file. When I do the game opens for a brief second and then shuts down. I tried running both v1.0.5 and v1.0.3
Thanks for your comment. May I ask what OS you're using? The game only has a windows version at this time.
Another troubleshooting step might be to try running the exe with administrator by right clicking it.
Also make sure the ZIP is fully extracted before running the EXE.
If you're still experiencing issues let me know!
I am on windows 11. I tried running as administrator and nothing changed. I tried reinstalling and made sure it was completely extracted but still had the same issue.

Right now my thought is that some sort of anti-virus is shutting the game down for some reason. I can't think of why it would start up for a few seconds and then abruptly close otherwise.

Correct, this itch.io demo version is a carbon copy of our demo website https://drowsychat.com/ (which is censored). I'll update this page to make that more clear.
